With these verses Giosuè Carducci in the poem ‘Davanti a San Guido’ made Bolgheri immortal, this ancient and fascinating village.
Surrounded by vineyards and olive groves, a stone’s throw from the sea, the village is dominated by the red brick castle through which you access the village, rich ancient stone palaces, adorned with geraniums. Places of special interest are the childhood home of the poet Giosuè Carducci and the oratory of San Guido.
In its paved alleys there are artisan shops, wine bars, taverns and well-known restaurants that offer typical products of the gastronomic tradition of this land, together with the splendid wines of the Bolgheri DOC.
The surrounding countryside offers the possibility of walking, cycling and horse riding through magnificent green roads such as the boulevard of Bolgheri and the via Bolgherese.
